Jewellery and Make-up Organisation

Over the last couple of months I've been organising my jewellery and make up.
It used to be shoved everywhere. My long necklaces would be in a make up bag and I'd have to untangle them every time I wanted one, my make-up was chucked in a drawer and I could never find it and I never really changed my earrings much as I never knew what I had.

I hate clutter so I thought enough's enough and did something about it. I still have a lot to do in my room as I have stuff everywhere.

I saw on Fleur de Force's YouTube channel that the storage boxes she uses came from Muji, which has some great storage ideas that come in different sizes.
As I'm not a make-up collector I decided to go for the smaller sizes. However, in hindsight I should have gone for the larger sizes. Oh well it still works fine. Just means I can't go overboard on make-up, which is good as I don't tend to change my make-up style that often.

I have three two drawers, two deep drawers, the top drawer on the right has one drawer which slides out and has a lip and I have a 6 compartment tray for my brushes. It works well for what I need it for. I like that it's clear so I can see what's in each drawer. I call it messy organised. The brushes to the right are my everyday brushes and they are in an empty glass yoghurt jar that I got from the hotel in London. Cheeky :p

This is what I got for my long, dangly earrings, I found it on ebay and thought it was ideal. It didn't cost much and holds quite a few earrings. My room has flowery wallpaper so I thought the black swirls and tree like structure would suit my room.
It also has a small tray at the bottom where I've put other jewellery.

This necklace holder I also found on ebay, I love that site :p. I originally bought a wire holder but when it turned up, I didn't think much to it and it was broken. This one is wooden and I think it's lovely. There's limited wall space so some of the longer necklaces have to doubled up but from being tangled in a make-up bag before this is a much better option.

I found this whilst looking for something to put my stud earrings on. It's not exactly the prettiest storage for them but I have a lot of earrings and this is the only one I could find that held a lot. It holds 96 pairs of studs. It's a bit bulky and takes up a bit of space but at least I can see what earrings I have so I can change what I wear occasionally.

This is the overall look of my jewellery, including my huge jewellery box. It looks a lot better than it used to and I'm happy with it :)

xx
