I'm not going to say that I'm making resolutions as I never keep them. Instead I'm going to say goals as I might keep to them better.
A couple of years ago, I used to be so care free and happy all the time. However, for some reason, I've stopped being so happy and have been quite miserable. As a result, my first goal is to be more positive and patient. I'm quick to temper and I'm very impatient when people don't understand, so that's my first one. I especially need this goal with my family and boyfriend.
I work in a shop so I always try to act happy even when I'm not and sometimes it can be quite difficult, so maybe if I try to be more positive I'll be a happier person in general.
My second goal is to get a good job and move back to Sheffield, I do enjoy the job I have now, but it's not a career. I think from being at University on my own, I have become quite independent and moving back home has not been the best choice. I think for the sake of my relationships with my family, I need to move out again. Me and my dad have very similar temperaments, so we clash quite often and neither of us will back down.
I don't think having loads of goals is good as trying to change too much is difficult and to be honest the goals I've set myself do include a lot of change. Moving out to live properly, on my own, in a different city with a proper job is scary. :s
Much love

Another update
An update on how my goals are going.
Here are the goals I set myself to achieve:
Lose 1/2 a stone by my birthday (2lbs to lose in 2 weeks, easy :s) (Completed)
Lose a stone by Graduation (It's in November so shouldn't be too bad) (Completed)
Run 1/2 a mile on the treadmill, none stop. (Completed)
Run a mile on the treadmill, none stop. (Completed)
Run a mile and 1/2 on the treadmill, none stop. (Completed)
Run 2 miles on the treadmill, none stop. (Completed)
Lose 1/2 a stone (Wasn't by my birthday like I wanted it to be but oh well)
Plus I've completed run a mile and a half and 2 miles.
I've also completed 2 and a half miles as well.
I've now completed:
Lose a stone by Graduation (Before I planned as well. I've lost 16lbs overall :D)
New goals:
Run 3 miles on the treadmill, none stop.
Learn to do the splits (I gave up on the stretches so need to start this again)
Lose a stone and a half (Only another 5 Ibs to go)
Another thing that I've started now is my owl cushion. Woop! About time. Got the shape cut out and most of the material. Just need to figure out how to use a sewing machine, find the eyes and get some stuffing :D
I'll post a picture when I've finished it :D

Quick update
Just an update on how my goals are going.

It's the fittest I've ever been so I'm quite impressed with myself :D
I ran for 30 minutes which was about 2.7 miles so almost 3 miles. I'd have to run 32 minutes to do that so that's my next goal :D
New goals:
Lose a stone (Last time I checked that's only 5Ibs away, however, haven't weighed myself this week)
Run 3 miles on the treadmill, none stop.
Learn to do the splits (I've started doing stretches to help with this)

ConGRADulations
Yey!
Finally, I know my degree results for University.
3 years of hard work. Well 2 as first year didn't count that much ha!
The other day I received my transcript, after nagging Sheffield Hallam services for a bit.
I now have an award of:

Bachelor of Science with Honours in Criminology and Psychology
Upper Second Class
(2:1)
I was hoping for a 2:1 as I knew I wasn't going to get a first. However, 2:1 is still good and I'm very proud of myself.
Naturally my mum had to tell everyone!
My Aunty sent me a text saying congratulations and that my late Uncle would have been proud of me. Seeing that made me cry and I was crying when I tried to read the text to my mum, I couldn't even read it to my dad, he had to read it.
Now I have to update my CV and start looking for proper jobs. Scary!
It was OK before as there was a natural path that I was taking.
High school then to college then to university.
Now it's all my decision. I know it was before but it's different. It's hard to know exactly what you want to do and then to know how to get there.
My next move is to try get a Teaching Assistant job to help with my experience working with children.
Wish me luck

Starting to be creative
So now that I'm back home I've decided that I want to do more creative things.
When I lived in Sheffield, there were a few cute shops that sold quite quirky products and I came across an owl pillow. You've probably seen them around they are well cute. :)
Well I want one but they are £16.99 and I thought it would be nice to make it myself with materials to match my room. I like when things match. So I've drawn a design that I'd like just need to find the materials.

I'm going to go shopping with my mum to find the materials as she knows where the best places are. :D isn't she lovely.
I'm going to post my progress with photos. Plus the end result.
I've never used a sewing machine before so it's a new experience. Will be a good skill to learn as well. :D
To be continued...
It's been a while
OK, so it really has been a while since I last posted.
Quick catch up:
Finished at Topshop as it was only Christmas Temp. Some of the other girls were quite upset to be let go but to be honest I didn't care. I didn't get enough hours to actually be bothered about it.
I've finished University, there is a problem with my overall result so I don't actually know what I've got yet (annoying) but it's getting sorted out.
I know I can graduate in November though. :D
Need a new dress and heels, of course!
Moved home and finding it quite hard to get back into living at home. Got used to my own ways and having a lot more privacy and space. Slowly getting back into the swing of things though. However, I'm sure my family have a contest to see who can slam the gate at the bottom of the stairs and the front door the hardest, every time I'm asleep. Both the gate and the front door are right under my room. It's bloody annoying :/
Finished with Guides which was quite upsetting. They bought me a card which they all signed and a me to you bear with a Guide top on it. It's well cute. (Actually tearing up right now as I remember them :/) I hope to go back if I move to Sheffield again.
Also finished my Adult Leadership Qualification as well so I can be a proper leader if I go back into it again.
Got another job but again it's only temporary, getting a lot of hours at the moment but will be going down to only 8.75 hours a week which isn't enough so I'm going to have to find another job. A proper job :/
Started to lose weight and tone up by eating better and going to the gym. I put on a stone in the last couple of weeks of uni, Oh dear! I've lost 5 lbs so far which is good. I'm trying to just lose a lb a week so at the moment it's going quite well.

Tone up
So that's about all that's happened lately :D

Great first impression :|
OK so my first proper shift at Topman was on Saturday. I was meant to post about it, but I forgot until now :p.
First thing to show I'm a brilliant worker: The lockers need a £ to be used and the only change I had was £2 coins and none of the girls that I asked had any change. Typical. I even used the vending machine to try and get a quid to use however it was shit and gave me rubbish change. Thanks vending machine you were a great help. :|
Second thing: Finding my way around the halls of Topman is like a maze. I only just started to figure out my way round by the end of my shift. I put my bag in the managers office as they said I could and turned the wrong way out of the door, I went through what I thought was the way. Nope. An alarm goes off. Great fun. :| I had to go back to get a manager to turn the alarm off.
I'm such a douche sometimes. First shift and I'm already begging for change and setting alarms off.
However, the rest of the shift went quite quick without any more glitches.
Except, people asking me what would look good on their child and what size they would be. :s I have no idea, you tell me. When I did give my opinion they went against it anyway. Pfft! how rude. It could just be showing how rubbish my dress sense is tbh so I can't really blame them for going against my opinion ha! :p
Also, I'm going to be well buff by the time I finish there. Customers ask for another size and if I can't find anyone to radio to the stockroom I have to go and look myself. It's ages away as Topman is the lower floor. Up about 3 lots of stairs and then look round the stockroom then run back down to the customer. This customer asked for one size, went and got it. He tried it on then asked for a different size so had to go back. Typical. Next time I'll bring both sizes down to make sure ha!
Next shift is Saturday again 5-9 then Sunday 9am-1. Ouch on the 9am :/ Oh well
